A week of transformative experiences, learning, and collaboration
The year 2025 ended with a remarkable 6th edition of YCB. One transformative week, where high school students from across India explored what it truly means to be a changemaker. A journey where participants identified pressing challenges, crafted impactful prototypes, and strengthened their confidence to lead purpose-driven change.
This season was shaped by leaders and practitioners who brought lived experience, depth, and honesty into the learning space. The journey began with Prof. Ganesh Bagler and Saurabh Jain setting the tone for changemaking rooted in purpose and responsibility. Academic perspectives from Prof. Gautam Shroff, Prof. Alok Srivastava, and Prof. Sonal Keshwani helped students understand design thinking and innovation through a real-world lens. Industry and ecosystem voices like Himanshi Singh and Tushar Singh Bodwal bridged ideas with execution. With creative exploration led by Rozy Maindoliya, the bootcamp culminated with the pitching jury, Yashveer Singh, Sonia Wadhwa, and Charu Pragya, who challenged students to think critically about impact.
Hands-on learning formed the core, where students actively explored how ideas turn into real-world solutions. Through sessions on Design Thinking and problem validation, participants learned to observe deeply and design with empathy. AI, Machine Learning, and ChatGPT were demystified to help students understand both the power and responsibility of emerging technologies. Workshops on Creativity, Inventive Problem Solving, Figma-based prototyping, and Business Model Canvas enabled students to experiment, iterate, and refine their ideas. These sessions were highly interactive, encouraging collaboration, critical thinking, and practical application rather than passive learning.
YCB is always known for learning beyond classrooms through thoughtfully designed immersive experiences. Participants explored India’s institutional and scientific heritage through visits to Rashtrapati Bhavan, Nehru Planetarium, and Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya, sparking reflection on leadership, history, and innovation at a national scale. These shared journeys created space for informal learning, curiosity-driven conversations, and deeper peer connections. Whether discussing ideas during campus walks or reflecting on exhibits together, students experienced how exposure to diverse environments can broaden perspective and inspire changemaking rooted in context and culture.
At the heart of this season was a strong sense of community built through shared moments beyond structured sessions. Expressive art workshops created safe spaces for self-expression and reflection, while movie nights and talent showcases allowed students to unwind, celebrate individuality, and cheer each other on. Late-night campus walks, informal conversations, and the final farewell brought the cohort closer, turning peers into lifelong friends and helping them experience what true collaboration and belonging feel like. This set an essential foundation for changemakers to work together and create a meaningful impact.
YCB Season 6 concluded as a movement of young minds driven by curiosity and compassion. It reminded us that changemaking isn’t just a pursuit; it’s a way of life, and for every student who walked through those gates, it was the beginning of a lifelong journey of creating impact.
