Code of Conduct
Creating a safe, respectful, and meaningful experience for every participant.
Young Changemakers Bootcamp – Code of Conduct
The Young Changemakers Bootcamp (YCB), organized by the Tale of Humankind Foundation, is a one-week residential and experiential program designed for high school students to develop empathy, creativity, collaboration, and leadership skills. To ensure a safe, respectful, and meaningful experience for every participant, faculty, mentor, volunteer, and partner, this Code of Conduct lays out the expectations, rules, and responsibilities for all.
This Code applies to:
- All student participants
- Mentors, tutors, volunteers, staff, and
- Partner organizations and institutions hosting YCB
By enrolling in YCB, participants and their parents/guardians agree to comply with this Code in full.
1. Respect and Integrity
- • Treat everyone (fellow participants, mentors, staff, volunteers, campus personnel) with dignity, courtesy, and respect at all times.
- • Derogatory remarks, name-calling, bullying, or exclusion based on gender, religion, caste, economic background, or region will not be tolerated.
- • Always communicate truthfully and respectfully, even in disagreements.
- • Maintain the spirit of teamwork and empathy that YCB stands for.
2. Academic and Intellectual Honesty
- • All essays, assignments, projects, or prototypes submitted must be the participant's own original work.

- • Collaboration is encouraged, but credit must always be given to collaborators.
Note: Participants found guilty of academic dishonesty may face dismissal from the program.
3. Collaboration and Teamwork
- • YCB emphasizes teamwork. Every participant must work constructively, inclusively, and fairly within their assigned groups.
- • Respect diverse perspectives, even if they differ from your own.
- • Share responsibilities equally; avoid putting unfair burden on teammates.
